Seen as the last couple of blog posts have been a tad dark I thought it was about time I lightened everything up a little.
This is something I do in therapy with people who are really struggling to see anything positive and if you've got 5 mins to play along it can help you finish today on a high :)
(It's a good idea to read through the instructions first then get yourself ready and have a go)
Set an alarm for 5 minutes
As you study the picture below I want you to take 6 deep breaths (remember 6 is the magic number when it comes to turning off epinephrine and cortisol)
Place a smile on your face
Close your eyes
Bring the picture into your mind
Imagine yourself sat in the boat, on the side, or stood in the water. Whatever feels more peaceful and relaxing for you right now.
Keep breathing normally and just stay with the image in your mind and you as part of the picture
When the alarm buzzes open your eyes
If you want to really feel awesome take this opportunity pf calm to do something you've been putting off for ages
