Did you check out yesterday's post? If so - how was the sunshine?
Did you even have a go getting outside before settling into the sofa last night...?
It's OK making changes can take time.
In fact - the hardest thing about making changes is deciding to change and then following through.
So many of us get home and say things like:
'I am never putting up with that again.'
'I'm going to the gym 3 times a week from tomorrow'
'I am going to eat healthy from now on'
But tomorrow comes and nothing changes
I'm sure you've heard of affirmations and how all the 'successful' types use them.
If you haven't don't worry it's a relatively simple but highly powerful idea - they're positive statements about what you want, said in the present tense for example., I am amazing at what I do.
You can find lists of affirmations all over the internet, listen to hours of them while you sleep or even buy a whole book on them but here's the rub - just watching/reading or saying something doesn't make it true.
You have to take a step to prove that what you have just said is true.
This could be a tiny little step e.g., your affirmation is 'I am a number 1 best selling author' in order to make this happen. Unlike in Harry Potter - you have to actually write the book, words never magically appear on a page!
But why am I telling you this?
Well, affirmations are super powerful if (and this is a big if), you use them correctly.
They've helped many of my clients who were in very dark places take back their lives and back to full mental health.
So if there is something you dislike about yourself or your situation. Or maybe there's something you want right now then give it a go - write an affirmation statement just for you. This is important as well - don't just use something off the shelf because it's not as powerful.
What do you want?
Always start with the phrase 'I am' and make it positive.
Then do something right now.
Do anything which takes you one step closer to that being true.
Even if it's as small as swapping the chocolate bar for an apple (assuming you wanted to be healthier - swapping chocolate for an apple isn't going to get a book written...)
Oh before I forget - don't bother with listening to the stuff on YouTube - record your own using your phone because your brain believes you more than it believes anyone else.
Now there's only 48 hours to go before the EMERGE Method opens and the price is hiked up!
If all the previous emails found their way into your junk box - here's a mini rundown of what you'll get:
6 weeks of step-by-step instructions to overcome your own stress based on scientific research and evidence delivered to your inbox.
The EMERGE Method has been developed by me and tested in the real world on people just like you.
This is what one of our past real world clients said about the EMERGE Method:
"I used to wake up and the thought of going into work made me feel sick. I didn't know what was wrong because I loved my job. I went to the doctors and had loads of different tests. I found out I had IBS and was told to cut out food I had eaten for years... I spent hours on google and found out that IBS is linked with stress. So instead of cutting out everything I like to eat I got help overcoming the stress. Everything Katie asked me to do was really simple and I wasn't convinced it would work. I couldn't believe the changes and by week 3 I was already feeling like a different person. By week 6 - well I am not stressed anymore, I can eat everything I have always eaten, and things which would have knocked me for 6 in the past go straight over my head. I am excited for what is coming in life for the first time in over 10 years. Thank you Katie - you changed my life!"
Are you going to say you'll change tomorrow but never follow through or are you going take action and change your future today?
Have fun being powerful! Catch you soon - Katie
