Over the past couple of months we have been delivering our Increasing Growth, and Performance Through Leadership Development Course to businesses as a 'whole-business' training session. Today saw the first 'multi-business' training session held at the Marches Growth Hub . We had a couple of businesses take a 'rain check' until the next one due to running off to last minute important meetings, or exciting opportunities... and being a small business ourselves we are super excited to hear how this opportunity pans out (hint hint to JAKINB Media). But I digress - back to this morning. There is no doubt about it - this morning was awesome. OK so there were a few technical problems - but due to some quick thinking, and some very brave volunteering from the delegates we were able to power through (big thanks to Julie from Grafiti Recruitment for doing some fantastic acting!). Usually when I'm running the course its easy to tailor the examples to one business, but trying to tailor it to three different businesses and one I know nothing about (sorry CMK Electrical Services Ltd I can only just about change a light bulb...) should have been a challenge. But because of the way the course has been specifically designed to work across all sectors it was easy. All leaders regardless of industry need to manage people in exactly the same way in order to achieve the best results. Treat your employees as they are the most important factor in your business and you can't go wrong. It was great to witness moments when each business owner, or manager understood the importance, and instant value which could be added to their business by taking some really simple steps - often steps micro-businesses are unaware of. Even more in true small business champion style; watching Ben (a micro business owner, and founder of the Telford Business Chamber) identifying skills, or pieces of knowledge which he would be able to pass on to the other businesses at Brodie House to help them grow. Even more satisfying than knowing 3 businesses have been injected with knowledge, motivation, and skills to take them over the all important 'growth tipping point' was their feedback. 100% of our delegates gave ratings of 'good' or 'excellent' for: knowledge, enthusiasm, pace, understand-ability, appearance, and believability. Check out the other stats from today by flicking through the graphs below. If you want to learn new skills which are going to proactively help increase your teams wellbeing, and kick-start your business growth potential then look no further. Our next 'multi-business' training day is booked for Friday 11th March. There are only 8 spaces available so book fast!
