An independent mental health service has officially launched this month, providing specialist support to individuals, schools and businesses across the county.
Shropshire-based Woodland Psychological Services Ltd – which is the brainchild of psychologist Katie Woodland – offers a wide range of supportive services from advice and diagnosis, through to therapy and mental health awareness training.
“Woodland Psychological Services Ltd is centered on supporting people with mental health difficulties throughout society, and is a not-for profit social enterprise which diverts profits back into community projects,” explained Founder and Managing Director of the organisation, Katie Woodland.
“With waiting lists longer than ever before, there are many people with mental health difficulties who are struggling to get the support they vitally need from local services. Dedicated to always going above-and-beyond, we proudly offer the very highest levels of support to our clients, covering borderline, mild and moderate mental health difficulties, as well as diagnosis, parent group interventions, parent support, and advocacy services.
“And with school and workplace-related mental health issues such as stress, depression and anxiety on the rise, we’re also proud to provide comprehensive training packages for teachers, business owners and management teams which aim to introduce simple organisational changes to not only reduce the stigma of mental health, but diminish mental health-related absenteeism,” Katie concluded.
